Yamaha’s High Thrust four strokes are engineered for robust tasks such as propelling heavy pontoons, boosting multi-species boats, or navigating sailboats through busy marinas. Available in 60, 50, a new 25, and a 9.9 horsepower model, these outboards feature larger lower units and higher gear ratios for significantly enhanced thrust compared to conventional outboards of the same horsepower using standard propellers. Paired with Yamaha’s Dual Thrust™ propellers (optional on T60/T50 and standard on T25 and T9.9), Yamaha High Thrusts deliver up to 60% more forward thrust and up to 70% more thrust in reverse.

Yamaha’s 432cc 25hp High Thrust outboard provides exceptional power and efficiency. This newly redesigned outboard boasts the best power-to-weight ratio among all high-thrust 25hp models. With the new design comes no-battery-required Electronic Fuel Injection, along with electric and manual start options available on all models. The new 25hp High Thrust model is offered in both 20-inch and 25-inch shaft lengths, expanding its application range. Also included is the Variable Trolling RPM Switch (VTS®), which allows for precise trolling speeds beyond standard in-gear idle, ideal for fishing.
